This morning at the National Concert Band Festival, held at the Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester and in competition with some of the top bands in the country, HWB, under the direction of John Turnbull, came away with not only a Platinum award in the Community Band Section but also our very own first trumpet Andy Lumb, took an award for outstanding musicianship.
